DISPLAY OF CALLIGRAPHY PROJECTS AND FLOWER ARRANGEMENT BY STUDENTS OF BS 6TH SEMESTER ART AND INTERIOR DESIGN DEPARTMENT

 A display of Islamic Calligraphy projects and flower arrangement was organized by students of BS6th semester “Art and Interior Design department” under the supervision of their Head of department and subject teacher MS Ghazala Naeem on 13th&14thDecember,2021. It was inaugurated by Principal,Prof Azra Munawar Farooqui on 13th December 2021.

Students have exhibited their calligraphy projects and flower arrangements related to their subject of Islamic Art and Architecture. They have portrayed various styles in writing Quranic verses in calligraphy like Kufic,Tuluth, Naskh,Tawqi by using different mediums; acrylic paints on marbles, wooden surfaces, gold leaf ,oil paints on canvas, wood carving, mosaic with marble pieces, embroidery, aluminium foil, and resin and pin work with gold threads etc.

Different styles in flower arrangements also attracted attention of the visitors. Students have displayed western style arrangements like Line, Mass,line and Mass and dimunitive arrangements and Japanese arrangement; Ikebana. Principal, teachers and students visited the display and appreciated artistic skills and hard work of students and gave positive comments in guest book.
